The YMCA is a charity with the purpose of improving the health and well-being of Canadians. It provides many services including access to a fitness centre, aquatics, child care, youth programs, and employment services.
Membership Assistance is available to individuals and families who are unable to pay the full fee for a YMCA General Membership.

Located on York University’s campus, Tait Mackenzie Fitness Centre provides students with several services, including access to the fitness centre and pool. Due to COVID-19 they are offering free online fitness classes.
Student Basic Membership: Access to gymnasia, pool and squash courts. This membership is free for York students.
Student Fitness Membership: Basic package plus access to the Fitness Centre and unlimited drop-in fitness classes. York students can purchase the student fitness membership online or at Client Services for $15.
