How to Get Involved:

If you would like to support and aid the disadvantaged individuals and students of York University, there are donation and volunteering opportunities that contribute to the necessities of individuals in need.

Donations/Volunteering

The YFS has a food bank at York University to help students in need. Due to current covid restrictions, the YFS donation centre has been put on hold for further notice but YFS encourages individuals who want to donate to The North York Harvest Food Bank because this is also where they are redirecting students who are in need of Food services.

Donations can also be made to individual shelters of food banks to help those who are in need. Many of the food banks and shelters accept financial or nonperishable donations.

Volunteer to help

York Federation of Students also has a volunteering aspect to help around York. Red Pack is the organization's name and with this, you are able to earn points that could lead to prizes through volunteering. This is a great opportunity to become more involved with the community of York and give help where it is needed in York.
